Welcome to my photo site.  I have been encouraged to share my photography and so here we go.

 I have enjoyed photographing across Canada over the past 30+ years and a little bit in the United States.  When asked, I usually say, "I shoot whatever gets in my way!", photographically speaking of course.  Over the years that has included, family, friends,  and the natural world around me. 

 

In describing my goal in photography, I would like to link it to a quote in Michael Freeman's book: The Photographer's Eye .  He relates the photographic experience to a hunt, and says, 

" A great deal of self-determination is involved, because not only is this a “hunt”, but it is one in which the prey – the final image, is determined by you. It, the subject of the successful image, does not know that it is photogenic."

My vision is to take the everyday scene, subject and or object and make it beautiful... at least to my  photograper's eye...
